March 13, 2012 – Gainesville, Ga. – A man was fatally injured in an ATV crash near the Hall-Jackson county line during the afternoon on Wednesday, March 7.

My Fox Atlanta reports that the accident happened at about 1:30 p.m. on Cooper Bridge Road. Officials said that a 2001 Yamaha Warrior ATV was traveling on the roadway when its driver failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle then went off of the roadway and crashed into a tree.

The ATV’s driver, Christopher Black, 20, was thrown from the ATV when it crashed. Black received fatal wounds in the accident and was declared dead on the scene.

Black was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
