May 11, 2012 – Atlanta, Ga. – Multiple injuries have been reported in a car accident that happened on Interstate 285 on Wednesday, May 9. 

Fox 5 News reports that the accident occurred shortly after 12 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the interstate, near Langford Parkway. The number of vehicles involved in the crash is unknown. Very few details are available about the accident. 

Several injuries were reported, but exactly how many people were hurt remains unclear. Officials said that there may have even been multiple people trapped in their vehicles after the accident. 

The northbound lanes of Interstate 285 were blocked for some time following the accident. The cause of the accident remains to be determined. The crash is under ongoing investigation by local authorities.
