January 24, 2012 – Atlanta, Ga. – On Monday morning, January 23, a MARTA bus became involved in a serious accident that resulted in 19 people being transported to a local hospital.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

A total of 19 people, including the bus driver, had to be transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. MARTA spokesperson Cara Hodgson said that the medical conditions of the injured people are unknown at this time.

The cause of the accident remains to be determined. Heavy rains that morning may have been a factor.
