June 27, 2011 - Monroe, Ga. - A total of 7 people suffered personal injuries in a rollover accident near Monroe on Saturday. According to a report at the Atlanta Journal Constitution, 8 out of the 10 passengers were ejected when the SUV rolled several times.

Investigators say there were 10 people riding in the 2001 Dodge Durango when the driver lost control of the vehicle in the southbound lanes of Preston Road. The SUV veered off the road and, when the driver attempted to bring the vehicle back into his lane, the SUV rolled down an embankment.

Most of the passengers in the SUV were ejected when the vehicle overturned. The driver of the SUV, a 26-year-old man, escaped serious injuries, as did 2 young children who were strapped into safety car seats. The other 7 passengers suffered serious personal injuries, and their ages range from 2 to 19 years old. They have been sent to local hospitals to be treated.

Authorities say the driver of the SUV will be charged in connection with this rollover accident, but they have not said what specific charges he will be facing.
