March 21, 2012 – Fulton County, Ga. – A woman was killed and 2 more were injured in a 3-vehicle car accident, involving a semi-truck, on Monday, March 19.

My Fox Atlanta
reports that the accident happened on Camp Creek Parkway, near Campbellton Road. According to police, a teenage driver lost control and struck a vehicle driven by a middle school teacher. The teacher’s car then spun in front of a tractor-trailer.

The teacher was killed in the accident. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Reports indicate that 2 other passengers in the teacher’s vehicle, her husband and a school counselor, were injured in the crash. They are said to be in critical condition.

The teenage driver and the driver of the tractor trailer were not reported to have suffered any injuries in the accident.

The crash is under ongoing investigation by authorities in FultonCounty.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's 2009 Georgia Crash Statistics, there were 1,284 fatalities as a result of car accidents in Georgia.
