The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the accident occurred at about 11 p.m. close to the intersection of Lenox Road and Ferncliff Road. Officials on the scene said that a 2007 Subaru Impreza was travelling southbound on the roadway when its driver lost control, causing the vehicle to go across the center line and crash into an oncoming 1997 Toyota Avalon.

The driver and a passenger in the Avalon were also injured. Both people had to be taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. The driver is said to have suffered serious injuries and the passenger was reported to have cuts and bruises. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
