Typically, I tell clients to fax or scan a copy of the bills they get in the mail to our office.
Taking a picture with your phone can work, but we can usually only use them to get account numbers and the amount of the bill.
For legal use, fax or scan works best because it's most legible.
We can request all the medical bills independently but if you can fax or scan any bills you have over to us, it helps getting your money from the settlement faster. Waiting for medical records and bills typically takes the most time to reach a settlement.
